Who We Help
Most couples with a connection to China can divorce here efficiently — often faster and more cost-effectively than in their home country.

-
Expat couples (two foreign nationals, living in China)
-
Mixed marriages (foreigner + Chinese citizen), even if married or living overseas
-
Chinese and foreign couples with international assets or overseas residence

A divorce issued in China is fully valid and recognized worldwide (US, UK, EU, Canada, Australia, etc.). In most cases, you will not need to redo proceedings at home.

How Long Does It Take?
With experienced counsel, many amicable international divorces are finalized in 1–3 months. Cases resolved through court-mediated agreement are often the fastest.

Is a Chinese Divorce Internationally Valid?
Yes.
A divorce obtained in China is generally fully recognized in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and most other common law countries.
In Britain, recognition is usually straightforward and often automatic if the divorce was valid in China. In the United States, most states recognize Chinese divorces under principles of comity, especially when both parties participated. In Canada, recognition is normally automatic if one spouse lived in China for at least one year before the divorce. Australia and New Zealand generally recognize Chinese divorces provided basic fairness and jurisdictional requirements were met. In the majority of cases across these countries, the process requires only proper documentation (Apostille and certified translation) for registration or updating of records, with no lengthy court proceedings needed.
